1.1 Our Products are sourced from a number of suppliers around the world. We endeavour to ensure they are of good quality. Clipperlight sells brass antique reproductions for decorative purposes only. Whilst the products 'may' function as intended, they should not be relied upon for any use, navigational, surveying, construction or any other purpose.
1.2 Please be aware that some items require a small degree of assembly on receipt.
1.3 Some products are made from or include brass and or copper. Both brass and copper are liable to tarnish over time. This can be remedied by a small amount of polishing. Clipperlight products are not intended to be 'perfect' in appearance.
1.4 Images on our website are, in our opinion a fair reflection of the goods we send to you, but the actual product may vary.
2.1 We receive, collect and store any information you enter on our website or provide us in any other way. In addition, we collect the Internet Protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet; login; e-mail address; password; computer and connection information and purchase history specific to clipperlight.com. We may use software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page. We also collect personally identifiable information (including name, email, password, communications); payment details (including credit card information), comments, feedback, product reviews, recommendations, and personal profile.
2.2 When you conduct a transaction on our website, as part of the process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address. Your personal information will be used for the specific reasons stated above only.
2.3 Why do we collect this information?
We collect such information for the following purposes:
To provide and operate the Services;
To provide our Users with ongoing customer assistance and technical support;
To be able to contact our Visitors and Users with general or personalized service-related notices and promotional messages;
To create aggregated statistical data and other aggregated and/or inferred Non-personal Information, which we or our business partners may use to provide and improve our respective services;

2.4 Clipperlight.com does not sell or forward any information gathered from its customers or visitors to clipperlight.com to any third party.
2.5 Clipperlight.com is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.
2.6 All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our business adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
2.7 We may contact you to notify you regarding your account, to troubleshoot problems with your account, to resolve a dispute, to collect fees or monies owed, to poll your opinions through surveys or questionnaires, to send updates about our business, or as otherwise necessary to contact you to enforce our User Agreement as defined within this policy statement, applicable national laws, and any agreement we may have with you. For these purposes, we may contact you via email, telephone, text messages, and postal mail.
2.8 All data and information is stored securely and in accordance with the law.

4 - Data Protection
4.1 We comply with current UK General Data Protection Regulation legislation.
5 - Liability
5.1 At no time shall Cliperlight’s liability exceed the value of your order.
6 - Payment
6.1 We accept payment by Debit or Credit card using Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Delta or Switch. Unlike some other companies, we do not charge extra for using your credit card. We also accept payment by Paypal.
7 - Transactions
7.1 All transactions are quoted in UK Pounds sterling only.
8 - Payment by Cheque
8.1 We regret, we do not accept payment by cheque.
9 - Postage and Packing
9.1 Standard deliveries to addresses in the UK mainland are included in the quoted price. Non-standard deliveries are an additional cost.
9.2 We try to keep our carriage rates as competitive and fair as possible. Gifts require careful packaging and we take time to make sure your items are delivered to you in a secure and competent fashion. We use a number of carriers including Hermes, Parcelforce48 and Royal Mail Standard as this enables us to keep the cost of carriage at a more economical level for you.
10 - Despatch
10.1 Clipperlight aims to dispatch goods to you within 5 working days of receiving your order.
11 - Undelivered Items
11.1 If a carrier fails to deliver an item due to insufficient address information supplied by the customer, we reserve the right to recover from the customer the charge made by our carrier to return the item to Clipperlight. You will need to contact Clipperlight accordingly if you wish the item to be resent.
12 - Items out of Stock
12.1 In the unlikely event that an item you order is out of stock, we will contact you, the customer immediately by email and arrange a full refund within 14 days via the payment method used by you, the customer to make the original payment.
13 - Cancellation and Refunds
13.1 You can cancel your order by emailing Clipperlight within 14 days from receipt of goods. Return postage is at your own cost, please ensure sufficient insurance to cover the value of the item if it is damaged or lost in the post. Your item cost will be refunded within 14 days of the date that we receive the returned goods. If you requested a non-standard delivery on the original order, for example, next day delivery, the additional costs will not be refunded.
13.2 Goods that you return to Clipperlight should be returned in the original packaging and in the same condition they were in when we dispatched them to you.
14 - Damaged items
14.1 On receipt by you of your package and before opening it, if there is obvious damage please ensure you tell the carrier and sign their receipt 'Goods Damaged'. Please take a photo of the damaged box/item. If you do receive items that are damaged, please immediately contact Clipperlight and send photos to discuss.
14.2 If on receipt by you, the customer, items are damaged, please read para 13 above and contact Clipperlight via an email with photos to discuss an acceptable solution.
14.3 If Clipperlight is out-of-stock of the original item and a replacement is unavailable, a refund in UK Pounds Sterling will be made within 14 days of the original item being received back by Clipperlight. A refund payment will be made via the payment method used by you, the customer to make the original payment.
15 - Purchases from non-UK Countries
15.1 Prices quoted do not include postage or packing to Counties outside the UK mainland.
If you require a quotation please supply your full and correct postal address and state your requirements before placing your order.
If you require insurance to cover delivery please also confirm to this Clipperlight.
15.2 Clipperlight prices are quoted in UK Pounds Sterling only.
If you place an order from outside the UK, we aim to dispatch it to you within 5 working days.
15.3 If you decide to cancel the order and return the item to Clipperlight, you must pay the full cost of returning it to the Clipperlight address in the UK.
When received by Clipperlight in the original packaging and in the same condition they were in when we dispatched them to you, Clipperlight will then refund the original order value within 14 days via the payment method used by you to make the original payment.
15.4 If on receipt by you, the customer, items are damaged, please read para 13 above and contact Clipperlight via an email with photos to discuss an acceptable solution.
If Clipperlight is out-of-stock of the original item and no replacement is available, a refund in UK Pounds Sterling will be made within 14 days of the original item being received back by Clipperlight. A refund payment will be made via the payment method used by you, the customer to make the original payment.
16 - Batteries
16.1 Some products require batteries. If a product requires batteries Clipperlight will endeavour to supply the appropriate battery on purchase. Any batteries will be appropriately packaged alongside our products and not installed.
17 - Recycling
17.1 We use and recycle packaging as much as we can. Where it is practical we will send all products to you in the original packaging from the manufacturers. Any packaging that we don't re-use, will be sent for recycling.
